Frank Davis ] Lunatic

This day E H James, Attorney for the Commonwealth, filed an information as follows, to-wit:

To Hon. T P Gray, Judge of the Lyon County Court:
I am reliably informed that Frank Davis is a person of unsound mind, and a lunatic and therefore ask that a jury be impaneled to pass upon the subject.

Ordered by the Court, That R L White Esq, an Attorney of this Court, be and he is hereby appointed to defend for and on behalf of the person under trial. Frank Davis

To inquire, etc., comes a jury to-wit: J W Scott, John Peek, W B Br?g?, J W Fox, Tom Jenkins, J H Ramey, J N Kevil, H M Smith, W M Watkins, A A Ramey, M?nnel Tucker & Buddie Moneymaker

who being duly impaneled and sworn according to law, after hearing the evidence, returned the following verdict, viz: We of the jury find from the evidence that Frank Davis is a person of unsound mind and a lunatic; that the unsoundness of mind _________ that he was born in Crittenton [sic], and resides in Lyon and is 77 years old; that he was not brought into this State for the purpose of becoming a charge upon the Commonwealth; that he owns no property no estate of any kind; that don’t know any thing about his father or mother _____ father is ______ and mother ______ and reside in ______ and ______ not estate __________ sufficient to support the person under trial; and said Frank Davis is not capable of laboring either in whole or in part for ____ support.

wherefore it is adjudged by the Court that said Frank Davis is of unsound mind and a lunatic and that he be immediately conveyed to the asylum at Hopkinsville Kentucky, and _______is appointed to convey ___ to said asylum and he is allowed ____ guard.
